Jesus First…In My Time

The first month of school has come and gone. We’ve learned how to put Jesus First in our Hearts and now welcome to October! Our new spiritual theme is “Jesus First in My Time.”

This month we are memorizing the Bible verse Psalm 5:3: “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;  in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.” What a great reminder that the way to put Jesus first in our time is to talk to him first every morning.

We started the school year by learning to put Jesus first in our hearts. Now we want to focus our month on making time for Jesus. Your child will be learning how to put Jesus first by:

  • Practicing TAG Time during Bible class (Time Alone with God).
  • Reviving the 90’s adage, W.W.J.D. (What Would Jesus Do?)
  • Choosing to use their time to serve and bless others, just as Jesus did.

Try this at home: Either in the morning or the evening, take time as a family to recognize, together, what you’re grateful for that God has given you. You could even look for ways as a family to put God first in your time.
